We will be hosting a sale in Midland on November 22 & 23!! There will lots of tools, including but not limited to, chainsaw, 2 tile saws, drills and there will be wine making equipment, stained glass, pot, pans, a rice cooker, KitchenAid mixer, art, antique books that are over 100 years old and so much more. We look forward to seeing you there. We are at 275 Centennial Dr, in Midland. 

Next week we will be in lovely Gravenhurst again. We are hosting a sale at a bungalow that promises to have something you need!

There are tools, furniture, bed and bedroom furniture, small hallway tables and a sideboard, a very nice dining table and hutch in a dark solid wood, a vintage tea cart, and so much more!

From my first conversation with Karen, I was impressed.  Karen was upfront, honest, and straightforward regarding her services, the costs associated,  what could be expected throughout the process.  She met me for a walk-through the house, to assess what she would be up against, and was more than fair with her time as I discussed with the rest of my family having Karen prepare for, run, and clean up after an estate sale at my parents' home.

 

When the time came, Karen and her team not only beautifully prepped for the sale but was able to deal with a difficult situation which arose with a couple of neighbors with a calm professionalism,  allowing our sale to move forward with much success.   Despite numerous unforeseen issues, Karen was able to control the situation,  run the sale and throughout, kept us up to date.  When all was said and done, the house was empty and ready for the cleaners.

Karen arrived true to her word at 10 am sharp and began to work and was done by 12:30 pm allowing me to get back home( a three hour drive) by 5pm. Our Services

Estate Sales

Estate Sales are ideal for families or spouses who have lost a loved one and need us to take care of the items that are no longer needed in the home. Our job is to help, with what can often be an overwhelming time for many.

We meet to discuss what will be going to family, sold, or given away.

The team comes in to sort, organize and price all contents remaining in home. The sale is set up and run at the clients home.

We can take photos and advertise the sale on our Facebook page, Facebook Marketplace, Instagram and above on our website. Estate Sales Barrie also has an extensive list of customers that we email prior to sales to let them know what's coming up. 

When the sale is complete we can donate and dispose of all remaining items, if you wish.

An e-transfer will be sent for remaining funds, after our services are paid for. If we are asked to do additional services or the amount of work surpasses the amount of money raised at the estate sale, the estate will be billed according to an individual agreement. 

Hourly Pricing of $80 for two staff, any additional staff required is $30 per person, per hour is charged for the initial organization, disposal and set up for the sale. The sales are hosted on a Friday and Saturday, the rate charged for those days is $90 per hour for up to 4 people and there is a 5% commission on the items that are sold at the sale. 

For our services we much charge 13% HST.

Downsizing for Seniors

Our company can assist seniors with downsizing, sorting, and organizing items they are no longer looking to keep.

We can meet to discuss items that will be kept, sold, and given away.

We can direct seniors and their families to local moving companies, and home cleaning service, if required. 

We offer services to help organize and declutter rooms in your home. Including kitchen pantries, spice cupboards, bathroom vanities, family rooms and basements. 

If you are ready or preparing to move, Estate Sales Barrie will attend your home and clear out any items you no longer need. If you choose to have an estate sale we will keep items that we believe will sell and dispose of or donate the other items. 

We charge the same rate of $80 per hour for 2 staff and $30 per hour/person for any additional staff required.

FAQ's

What happens to the items left over after an estate sale? Items that are not purchased during the sale will be donated, taken to the landfill or metal recyclers. All sales are final. 

 

Once the Estate Sale is complete, how will I be paid for sale items? 

An invoice will be given to you summarizing the cost of our services and the total amount made at the Estate Sale. Once our costs are paid for you will be given the remaining funds. You will be given cash or Etransfer for any surplus funds.

What are your fee's? 

In most cases our fee's are based on an hourly rate which is calculated based on your needs. For Estate Sales we will determine with you the set up, the sale days and clearing out of remaining items.
